How we work

Built around your season

A date to aim for

We give you a realistic return date at the first visit, and update it as you hit each milestone.

Keep training

Rest is rarely the answer. We change what you do, not whether you do it, so you keep your fitness.

Sport-specific rehab

Cutting, landing, kicking and sprinting drills that match what your sport asks of your body.

Return to sport

Four stages back to full speed

1

Settle

Calm the injury down with the right load, taping and hands-on care, and keep the rest of you moving.

2

Strengthen

Progressive gym work to rebuild strength, measured against your other side.

3

Speed

Running, jumping, landing and change of direction, building up to full pace.

4

Return

Pass your return-to-sport tests, then a staged return to training and games.

The rehab gym

Tested, not guessed

Our on-site gym means we can load your injury safely, measure your strength and prove you are ready to play, instead of waiting for the pain to go away and hoping for the best.

  • Force plates and dynamometers for strength and hop testing
  • Treadmill with slow-motion video for running analysis
  • Squat rack, kettlebells, sleds and plyometric boxes
  • Written return-to-sport criteria you can share with your coach

Sports questions

Good to know

I rolled my ankle at the game. When should I come in?

The sooner the better: within a day or two is ideal. In the meantime, keep it moving gently, elevate it and walk on it if you can. If you can’t take four steps, see your GP or an emergency department for an X-ray first.

Do you treat ACL injuries?

Yes, both before and after surgery, and as an alternative to surgery for some people. ACL rehab usually takes nine to twelve months, and we test you properly before you return to pivoting sports.

Can you tape me for game day?

Yes. Add sports taping to any physio appointment, or book a standard consultation before the game and we will check and tape you.

Do you work with clubs and schools?

We look after several local football, netball and running clubs. Call the clinic to talk about game-day cover, screening or injury-prevention sessions for your team.
