Who we are
kinetic is a physiotherapy, chiropractic and remedial massage clinic at Level 1, 218 Haverford Street, Richmond VIC 3121. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic). This policy explains what personal and health information we collect, including through online booking, and how we use and protect it.
What we collect online
When you book online, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the service, practitioner and time you chose, and anything you write in the booking notes, such as the reason for your visit or a claim number.
At the clinic
To treat you safely, we collect health information: your medical history, symptoms, medications, assessment findings, treatment notes and any reports or referrals you share with us. We also record your Medicare, health fund, DVA or claim details when you use them.
How we use your information
We use it to provide and plan your care, to confirm and remind you about appointments, to process payments and claims, and to meet our legal and professional obligations. We only send newsletters if you have asked us to, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
Your treating practitioners at the clinic can see your records. With your consent, we share relevant information with your GP, specialist or surgeon. We share claim information with Medicare, your health fund, WorkSafe, the TAC or DVA when you claim through them. We never sell your information.
How we store it
Records are kept in secure, Australian-hosted practice software with access limited to our team. Our website, email and payment providers only receive what they need to provide their services.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies it needs to work, such as remembering your booking session. If we add analytics or embedded content from other sites, we will update this page.
How long we keep it
We keep health records for at least seven years after your last visit, or until you turn 25 if you were treated as a child, as Victorian law requires. Booking and payment records are kept for seven years for tax purposes.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask for a copy of your records, or ask us to correct them. If you are concerned about how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or the Health Complaints Commissioner in Victoria.
